Seven Years

The gift for seven years of joy
Is copper, hard and cold.
But you deserve much more than that.
You're worth your weight in gold.
We've been through many things together-
Times we won't forget.
Some were fun, some were hard,
But none that left regret.
We have two sons to love and cherish.
They have your hair and smile.
I'm proud to parent them with you-
A job that's most worthwhile.
It's been a wild ride so far,
No sign of losing steam.

Cabin Fever

These cheery sunflowers are just about the only thing keeping me sane right now. I'm still recovering from wisdom tooth extraction and we're all starting to get really bored. Now that Dad is back at work, the boys are pretty much over the novelty of a mom who doesn't do anything. I'm totally over the novelty of drinking all my food. And we're all tired of seeing the inside of our house. Except for these pretty sunflowers. Thank goodness for sunflowers!
